This is when Lily Allen goes very pop. She got a lot of hate for this album, but I always liked it. It’s pretty basic, but I still think she’s a pretty great lady. Let’s get into it.
Sheezus: This song is pretty cool. She took a pretty long break after her second album so this is her comeback. And she’s reintroducing herself and a pop girl. I especially love how she respects Lorde. If you think she’s name dropping you are wrong. She is respecting every woman she mentions in this song. I like the lyrics. The period part is pretty funny. I think this is a good intro track.
L8 CMMR: The lyrics to this song are pretty bad. I don’t hate it because it’s very catchy. I like the chorus. It’s fun. Sometimes I don't even know what she’s talking about. Like, I get the jist, but the specifics are sometimes lost on me. She uses a lot of British slang.
Air Balloon: I used to absolutely love this song. It’s not that good. It’s very catchy. It’s a very fun song about not taking yourself too seriously. I think it would be a lot better if she took out the “na na na” parts. Or at least shortened those parts.
Our Time: I think this is such a nice song. It’s just about partying. It’s an easy listen. The lyrics are fun. I think this song deserved more.
Insincerely Yours: I like how brutally honest she is in this song. People got mad at her, but honestly, she was right. She’s over pretending to like other famous people.
Take My Place: I love this song. It’s very sad. I believe it is about her miscarriage she had. I think it’s a very real reaction. No one wants to admit what she’s saying, but basically she’s begging to switch her circumstances with someone else. It’s a very pretty song.
As Long As I Got You: I used to hate this song. It’s very country influenced. But it grew on me. I love the chorus so much. The lyrics are so sweet. It’s a really cute song.
Close Your Eyes: This song was never for me. I think the idea is fun. She’s trying to be sexy while also acknowledging all the unsexy things about her life. I just don’t like this song.
URL Badman: I love this song. This is her response to internet trolls. I think it sounds very cool. The lyrics are good and sometimes funny. It’s a solid song.
Silver Spoon: In this song she wants to make it clear that she had to work to get to where she is even though her family was wealthy. It’s pretty catchy and a fun song.
Life For Me: I honestly forgot about this song. She kind of misses her partying days, but she’s also happy being a mom. This song is pretty average. She sounds pretty in it, though.
Hard Out Here: This song is kind of iconic. She really went off. She says bitch over 50 times in this song. I love the lyrics. I love the lyrics. It’s an amazing song.
Wind Your Neck In: I love this song so much. She’s telling everyone to mind their business. I just love the chorus so much. It’s so catchy. This song just really resonates with me.
Who Do You Love?: This song has really interesting lyrics. I think it’s her asking her parents why they like her sister more. It’s kind of uncomfortable and very confrontational. It’s a really good song. The chorus is a little lame because it’s just the same lyrics repeated, but it sounds really good.
Miserable Without Your Love: This song is a little confusing. It’s very interesting. Not sonically, though. I skip it a lot, but I don’t think it’s bad.
Holding On To Nothing: I love this song. It’s also about her miscarriage. How she’s overly protective and scared over her living children because of what she went through. It’s a very dramatic song. She sounds very pretty on it.
Somewhere Only We Know: This is a cover. This is a really pretty cover. The piano is nice.

I’m a big Lily Allen fan and also this album found me at a very interesting time in my life. So I am probably biased. I always love how you can tell Lily wrote these songs. She jokes around a lot, mainly poking fun at herself. She also talks about a lot of serious things on this record as well. I’m giving it a 8.29/10. Most of these songs I like. Except Close Your Eyes. bye
