Very excited to review this because it's one of my all time favorites. Found it in 5th grade and somehow I still like it even though it's pretty different. Let's get into it.
Smile: This song is such a classic. I wish they would still play this song on the radio. The lyrics are so funny to me. “At first when I see you cry, yeah, it makes me smile.” Like, that’s hilarious. She’s so sassy and she expresses it throughout this whole album.
Knock 'Em Out: This song is so fun. I love the piano intro. I feel like I’m in a saloon and it's about to go down. She’s so real in this song. This song is the original “Take a Hint” from Victorious. What an anthem.
Ldn: Man, I love this song. The horns in the beginning are so fun. This is such a good example of a song that sounds happy, but the lyrics are kind of dark. She’s just making fun of all the crime that happens in London, but she sings it over such happy music.
Everything's Just Wonderful: Elevator music intro. The lyrics are fun in this song. This song is so sarcastic and is complaining about things I don’t really understand. I don’t know about bad credit or bureaucrats that won’t give anyone a mortgage, but this song makes me pretend to understand.
Not Big: Parts of this song I like. I do think it’s a little shallow to sing about penis size. But that’s Lily’s whole thing. The verses are well done, but I’m not the biggest fan of the chorus. I don’t think it’s bad, it’s just not my favorite.
Friday Night: This is a fun song. I always think of this song because we watched a parody of it in 7th grade social studies. I forget what it was though. I won’t lie, it kind of makes me uncomfortable because I’m not a fan of confrontation. But the song is good and pretty catchy.
Shame for You: I think the intro to this song is too long. The music is kind of boring too. However, I go hard to the chorus. I love the chorus to this song. It’s so good.
Littlest Things: Sad song time. I love this song. It’s so pretty and the lyrics are so specific it makes me kind of sad. Also it’s pretty short, which works for it. The lyrics are so British it’s unbelievable.
Take What You Take: This song is a little silly, but I like it lol. This is an anti boomer song. This song was also in an old episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Just thought I’d share that. I also love the music in this song.
Friend of Mine: Okay, this is my favorite song off the album. I love the reggae vibes of this song. Her voice is very pretty in this. Seriously, though, the music in this song alone is amazing. I would just listen to that tbh. But the lyrics are really good too. She’s calling out a fake friend. Go off.
Alfie: I hate this song. Seriously so much. It’s her worst song. It makes my ears bleed. The only good thing about it is that it must have inspired her brother Alfie to audition for Game of Thrones and actually start his career. So go Lily.
Nan, You're A Window Shopper: Man, do I love this song. I know it seriously borrows from 50 Cent's song, but I like this version so much more. She’s just dissing her grandma. That’s so funny. I love the whole vibe of this song. Great closer.
Final Ranking:
Friend of Mine
Nan You’re A Window Shopper
LDN
Smile
Everything’s Just Wonderful
Littlest Things
Knock ‘Em Out
Take What You Take
Friday Night
Shame For You

Overall this album earned a score of 7.92/10. This is my favorite Lily Allen because it's very different from the rest of her stuff, but I like it a lot. I think it's funny and no one really sings like she does. It's a little bit messy, but in a good way. bye
