This album took it’s time to grow on me. Lily took a 4 year break and came out with this. It’s different. Let’s get into it.
Come On Then: What I’m here for are the lyrics. This is her addressing the press, the media, the public, and even those who say they’re her friends. It’s interesting. There’s a lot of autotune happening, but she is using it tastefully. And I like the production.
Trigger Bang (feat. Giggs): I am such a fan of this song. It’s so good. The rapping at the beginning isn’t my favorite, but it’s fine. It doesn’t make the song worse. But Lily’s vocals here are fabulous. And the point of the song is very interesting. I love how blunt she is.
What You Waiting For?: I’m into the lyrics again you guys. She’s admitting a lot here. Again, it’s very blunt and honest. Very Lily of her. This song is also very catchy.
Your Choice (feat. Burna Boy): Not here for Burna Boy. It’s not the best song. It’s a little bit catchy. Like if you’re just tuning out it’s good, but it’s not the best song. I kind of like the vibe, but I cannot commit to it.
Lost My Mind: I really like the lyrics. At first I thought the song was fine, but the lyrics really help it out. It’s kind of sad. I feel bad for Lily. She really went through it. The production is also very good.
Higher: I actually like the rapping beginning better than Trigger Bang. This song is very pretty. She sings very high here and it’s kind of beautiful in a way. And then she gets lower when she really needs to emphasize her point. It’s a good song.
Family Man: This song is sad. And her voice is so good. A piano ballad. This is also when the album turns kind of depressing. Also hi the strings in the background. Gorgeous. She’s trying to balance her career and her family life. This song builds majorly.
Apples: I love this song so much. It’s so sad. And she sings so softly. It’s really pretty and the lyrics are so good. Very personal. She talks about getting a divorce and how she ended up being like her parents after all. Really bums you out.
Three: This is another sad song, this time voicing her concerns about continuing to tour while she has small children. She puts herself in the place of her children. It’s lowkey devastating. Her voice sounds great and the instrumentation is very pretty.
Everything To Feel Something: This song is confusing. It’s sad. She’s a mess. But also this song is a mess. The beginning isn’t great. The layered vocals. They weren’t good. And then you have this very dramatic piano. It’s not my favorite. It’s also very long. The chorus also doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. I think she had a good idea but just couldn’t get it through.
Waste (feat. Lady Chann): I cannot even remember how this song sounds. It’s not good or memorable.
My One: This song is so boring. Except for maybe the weird instrument at the end. That’s a little fun. But it’s not enough. The lyrics don’t make a whole lot of sense. It’s very skippable.
Pushing Up Daisies: This song is cute and fun. It’s a good one. Not much more to say about it.
Cake: I like how her voice sounds here. Something with the effects they used. And the production is good. It’s a good message and it’s not too in your face. It’s a feel good and also chill.

Most of these songs aren’t stand-alone worthy, but when you listen to them all together you can really appreciate it. Lily went through a divorce and it was tough on her, and she really didn’t hold back lyrically. Even though the production style was different, she really stuck with it, and it’s pretty good. It’s not my favorite Lily album, but I respect it and I enjoy it. It’s great to pamper yourself to, as long as you’re not trying to get hyped or anything. I’m giving it a 7.32/10. bye
