Visions by Grimes Review

Miss Grimes. I don’t know this album besides 2 songs.

Infinite Love Without Fulfilment: First song. Weird. I don’t hate it, but I wouldn’t want to listen to it all the time because it doesn’t really have pretty music. Decent beat, though.

Genesis: This song is so pretty and fun and I love it very much. Like it’s such a classic. I love Grimes.

Oblivion: I absolutely love this song too. It’s about being sexually assaulted but it’s not a bummer song. Her voice is so pretty in this song and the lyrics are so fantastic. I love Grimes.

Eight: This song is weird. She’s got her autotune on for the first part but she comes in regularly and it’s pretty good. Not my favorite but not bad.

Circumambient: This song is good. It actually makes sense, which is kinda rare for her. Her voice is really pretty in this.

Vowels = Space and Time: The music in this song is really good. I like the lyrics in this song a lot. It’s kind of sad but not super sad, which is nice.

Visiting Statue: Lots of layering voices in this song, I have no idea what she is saying and I have the lyrics up.

Be a Body: This is a pretty calming song. I like it, but it’s not my favorite. Her voice is super pretty, though.

Colour of Moonlight (Antiochus): This song definitely builds as it progresses. It starts off kinda boring because it’s very repetitive and doesn’t have good harmonies. But her voice gets stronger throughout the song and it turns into something really good.

Symphonia IX (My Wait Is U): Very long intro. Then she moans for a little bit. I’m really liking the lyrics in this song. Probably more than the sound of this song. It’s all about devotion. Most of it is sung in a whisper. I like it better when she sings to her full ability. Now there’s like a minute long outro of her making random noises.

Nightmusic: This song is fun. It really changes up halfway through it.

Skin: 6 minutes long wow. It wasn’t my favorite lol.

Know the Way: This song is so pretty. Pretty guitar and violins omg. Sounds like I’m dying and my soul is rising up to heaven or whatever.

Christmas Song: Lowkey excited for an xmas track. Sure doesn’t sound like your typical xmas song, but I’ll wait for lyrics. I’m shocked by the rapping. Mr. Worthy is the whole song. Grimes vocals are just in the background. Nothing in this song talks about Christmas, but I will be adding it to my xmas playlist because that’s funny.
