Dude this album is good and I think Grimes is wild.
Laughing and Not Being Normal: I like this song because of the instrumentals. It really sounds like a classical piece until the vocals come in. Her voice is extremely high in this song, I can’t tell what she’s saying without lyrics. It’s mysterious sounding and pretty short.
California: This song is so fun. Probably the closest song to a pop song on this album. It has some country influence in it as well. It’s just a really good song. And you can understand her lol.
Scream: I do not like this song. It’s too much for me. She really is screaming in this song. And then it’s some foreign language rapping. And then heavy breathing followed by more screaming. I’m not tough enough for this song.
Flesh without Blood: You guys I love this song so much. It’s straight up one of my favorite songs ever. It’s so good. Her voice is so good. The beat, the music. Even my mom likes it. The lyrics are fantastic, too.
Belly of the Beat: This is such a pretty song. I can relax to this song.
Kill V. Maim: This song goes crazy. There’s definitely some screaming in it, which is nervousing for sure, but it’s a great song.
Artangels: She sings a little bit of French in this song and that’s so fun. I think it’s kind of a love song to Canada, which is interesting. The guitar in this song goes hard and all together it’s really good.
Easily: This song is pretty different. It’s really simple in the beginning. And I love the lyrics. “Easily, I’m the sweetest damn thing you ever saw.” Like wow, that’s power. After that chorus it jumps into an instrumental that is just so unexpected. Like at first it’s normal, but it jumps into this weird squeaking sound and it really works out for it. And then back to the chorus. So fun. And then violin at the end.
Pin: This song goes crazy again. I love the lyrics and the sound. This is another one of my most favorites from the album.
REALiTi: This is another song that’s kind of relaxing, despite the heavy beat. The chorus is just very calming to me. Also this song violently throws me back to early freshmen year.
World Princess Pt. II: Okay, this song is so good. I know I keep saying that but only because it’s true. Her voice is autotuned a lot in this song, but honestly, it’s okay. The lyrics are super interesting. And it’s a pretty long song but it never gets boring. And I love the outro to this song. She starts speaking and it’s really spooky.
Venus Fly: This song is definitely a club song. The beat in this song is the most prominent on the album. Janelle really goes hard in this song and I appreciate it. Around the bridge of this song the instrumentals get crazy and it's a really high pitched violin and that’s why I like this song.
Life in the Vivid Dream: The guitar in this song is really pretty. And the lyrics are pretty good. Good song. Short too.
Butterfly: Okay last track. I don’t love this song as much as the others, but the chorus smacks. The verses are tiresome I think. The lyrics, on the other hand, are super good. I’m pretty split on this track. When its on I like it but I would never put it on.
