How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last by Big Red Machine Review

Updated: Jan 17, 2022

I’m pretty excited about this. I hope it sounds cool and has a lot of songs to go on my fall playlist.

Latter Days (feat. Anais Mitchell): They sounded pretty together but I thought the song was boring. I probably wouldn’t listen to it again.

Reese: This song got better as it went on. I like his voice and the music was really cool.

Phoenix (feat. Fleet Foxes & Anais Mitchell): I love this song. I think it’s so pretty. The head voice used during the chorus is so perfect. It gives dorothea vibes.

Birch (feat. Taylor Swift): This song sounded kind of sad. The lyrics were very confusing. I’m not smart enough for this song I don’t think. They sound very pretty when they harmonize but we knew this.

Renegade (feat. Taylor Swift): This song is super fun and it’s literally just Taylor the whole time. Big fan of it. I love the lyrics.

The Ghost of Cincinnati: This one was fun. I know about Cincinnati. That’s cool.

Hoping Then: I don’t like how his voice sounds on this track. It’s upsetting to me.

Mimi (feat. Ilsey): I don’t like the flow of this song.

Easy to sabotage (feat. Naeem): Not into this one. The autotune usage wasn’t pleasant. In my opinion at least.

Hutch (feat. Sharon Van Etten, Lisa Hannigan & Shara Nova): This song seems like the very dramatic ending of a movie. Kind of makes you feel good, but also sad at the same time. It’s alright.

8:22am (feat. La Force): I didn’t like this song either. Too slow. Her voice wasn’t that great. It was a chore listening to this.

Magnolia: This song was nice. It was a little catchy. I like Aaron Desner’s voice.

June’s a River (feat. Ben Howard & This Is the Kit): This one was kind of nice. It seemed very peaceful. Reminds me of the stuff my dad used to play.

Brycie: This song was peaceful. It was a little long. That’s my only note.

New Auburn (feat. Anais Mitchell): This was pretty but not very interesting. That’s all I have to say about that.

Final Ranking:

Overall I didn’t love this album. The songs didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me and they were kind of boring. I do like the vibe. It gets a 5.27/10. bye
