I just can’t believe she did it again you guys.
willow: Okay, so first of all this song is very warm to me. It’s very happy. I love it. I’m obsessed. Very different vibes than track 1 from Miss folklore. This is hopeful and sweet and heartfelt. Here’s what else. Makes me think about pirates. I think it’s the way the guitar is on this song. Very scallywag. I don’t think that was Taylor’s intention, but it’s how I’m interpreting it. And I think you guys should too. It’s a pirate love story and it makes me so happy.
champagne problems: Every time I listen to this song it gets even sadder. There are so many details and hidden meanings. Very devastating. Not really a hot take, but I think this is just one of her best songs ever. I love songs like this. I can live an entire super sad scenario in my head while listening to it. Lyrics that especially get to me: “Your hometown skeptics called it” and just the entire bridge and final chorus. It hurts very bad but is also perfect.
gold rush: Our friend Jack Antonoff helped with this one and you can really tell. At first, I wasn’t sold on this song. I have changed my mind no worries. This song is pretty fabulous. I like how it’s about daydreaming about someone everybody wants. It’s very catchy and beautiful. Also, name dropping folklore. Iconic. This song also makes me think warm.
'tis the damn season: Love this song! It paints such a vivid picture in my mind when listening to it. This one actually makes me think of winter, which makes sense. This song just feels very familiar. Like I’ve heard this story before. I also am pretty sure it’s connected to Dorothea. Cute of it. Lastly, big fan of the guitar on this track. Sounds very nice.
tolerate it: She’s back again with another hard-hitting track 5. This song is very sad. Her voice is also very beautiful in it. I absolutely love the last chorus. “Took this dagger in me and removed it” really hits hard. Big fan.
no body, no crime (feat. HAIM): I want Taylor Swift to sing me an entire crime novel. This song is everything. Makes me want to like wine. Also, I have a dance to this song mapped out in my head. I won’t go into details but just know that. It involves lots of shoulder shimmying. The storytelling on this track is top-notch. During the final part of the song when she’s like “She thinks I did it but she just can’t prove it” I swear it sounds like she’s grinning.
happiness: Track seven. She talks about being above the trees in this song and on ‘seven.’ Interesting. This song feels like waking up and feeling like a brand new person. It’s sad but also hopeful. I’m actually a big fan of this song I’ve decided. It’s fabulous. Especially the part when it’s like “And I pulled your body into mine every goddamn night now I get fake niceties.” She sounds so angry. Very exciting.
dorothea: Unfortunately the first image that pops into my head when this song comes on is Dorothy the Dinosaur from the Wiggles. I am having trouble convincing myself the song isn’t about her. This song is so happy sounding. Makes me want to run through a field. It feels very welcoming and safe.
coney island (feat. The National): At first I wasn’t feeling this song. The dude’s voice caught me off guard. I wasn’t fully with it. It’s okay now. I have figured everything out. This song is very good and I like the lyrics a lot.
ivy: This song is very spring to me. Maybe because she sings about spring. I love this song a lot. Definitely one of my favorites off the album. I love the storytelling. The chorus is so catchy. So is the bridge and that other part when she’s like “Yeah it’s a war, it’s the goddamn fight of my life and you started it.” That lyric really packs a punch. Is it a lesbian love triangle? I don’t know. Hopefully.
cowboy like me: This song is a sunset song. You know. Also, I would like my entire life to follow the plot of this song. It’s the most perfect song to ever exist. I love it so very much. It’s everything. I don’t even know what else to say.
long story short: This is a very sweet song. I’m very happy about it. It’s also very catchy. Good song to sing along to. folklore didn’t really have songs like this. I’m such a fan.
marjorie: This song makes me very happy, but also sad. This is a driving song if I ever heard one. Makes you just think and feel things. I like this song a lot. If it was the weather it’d be a breeze. Thank you.
closure: The production on this track gave me whiplash the first time I heard it. I like what this song stands for. It sounds pretty different from the other tracks but it’s still good.
evermore (feat. Bon Iver): Very good closing track. The piano is very pretty. Her lyrics are really sad and her vocals are it. I like it when the dude’s voice comes in. They sound so good together. And then the end of the song when she’s like “this pain wouldn’t be forevermore.” Very happy for her. This song also feels very familiar.
right where you left me: This song is not okay. It shouldn't be allowed. The lyrics paint such a vivid image in my head and it's pretty devastating. And it's a double whammy because her voice is so pretty and almost happy sounding. It's pretty much the perfect song for me. I'm so glad it exists.
it's time to go: This bonus track is good. I like right where you left me more, but there's nothing wrong with this one. It's a good message and is almost the opposite of the last track. It's not the most interesting to me sonically, but I still think it's amazing.

Awkward that this also got a 10/10. There’s just not a bad song on it. It gives me folklore vibes but it’s also very different. folklore was sad and wallowing in it, which is good to do sometimes honestly. And evermore is waking up one day and knowing that even though you’re still feeling down the future will be better. evermore is the warm hug that folklore left you needing. Very happy this exists. bye
