I think The Lumineers are pretty good so hopefully this aligns with that.
BRIGHTSIDE: This song is nice. His voice is so good. I like the lyrics and it’s pretty catchy. Kinda dark actually. They’re always pulling something.
A.M. RADIO: I didn’t really like this song. It didn’t hit.
WHERE WE ARE: I think the music in this song is very pretty. Reminds me of a movie kinda. And the lyrics are really
interesting. But I do not like the chorus. It’s like a campfire song. Hate it.
BIRTHDAY: I also don’t really like this song. Sounds like it would be sang by someone I have deep rooted beef with. That’s kind of an insane thing to say but it’s true. Because the clapping in the song is really upsetting to me. It goes against everything I’ve ever believed in.
BIG SHOT: This song is really pretty. And it sounds kinda sad and it builds. I’m into it guys.
NEVER REALLY MINE: I’m really liking this song too. It’s sad and his voice just sounds pretty perfect. I like the simple instrumentation or something. This is a really good track I’ve decided. They did something here.
ROLLERCOASTER: This song was very sad omg. And good. They’re really nailing these past few tracks.
REMINGTON: This sounded so good. I’m really into this sound. I’m glad they’re doing this because I started this listen off as a hater. I don’t know why this is so short though.
REPRISE: This song is kinda random. It’s fine. I get it. Whatever.
Final Ranking:
REMINGTON
NEVER REALLY MINE
ROLLERCOASTER
BIG SHOT
BRIGHTSIDE
REPRISE
WHERE WE ARE
A.M. RADIO
BIRTHDAY
This album had its highs and lows. I think the latter half of the album is definitely more my taste. Sadder sounding and more stripped back instrumentation. It gets a 6.61/10. bye
