Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel by Mariah Carey Album Review

I love Mariah Carey as a person. I am not familiar with most of her songs. I am so excited for this. I think she’s the best ever and her voice is unbelievable. Let’s get into it.

Betcha Gon' Know (The prologue): I’m screaming. What an intro. What an opening. I cannot handle it. She spilled so much tea. She said I’ll be talking about this on Oprah. Barbara Walters. 60 Minutes. I can’t handle it. Her voice was so pretty. The story had me. I was in it. She really said “to be continued.”

Obsessed: A classic. She does not hold back. It’s catchy too. An amazing song.

H.A.T.E.U.: I am so impressed by this song writing. She can’t wait to hate him because right now she still needs him. That’s so sad. I didn’t really vibe with the song too much, but the ending was pretty nice.

Candy Bling: This song isn’t for me. I can’t relate and it wasn’t interesting to me. However, I’m just thinking about how lucky I am to be alive while Mariah is alive. I could’ve missed out. Thank god I didn’t.

Ribbon: This chorus really went there. I loved it so much. Super catchy. I really got caught up in the moment.

Inseparable: Why is this making me sad. Mariah is tugging at my heartstrings. It was really catchy and you could sing along to it. Good song.

Standing O: This wasn’t for me. The chorus wasn’t it. The subject matter was nothing crazy. She really came through at the end, as she usually does.

It's a Wrap: Are you kidding me? This intro? It’s fine. This song is amazing. She is kicking him out. Queen Mariah.

Up Out My Face: This is so much fun. Mariah is giggling in the back. The bridge is iconic. I love the music in this song. It kind of has Beyonce vibes, but it’s alright. I really enjoyed this song.

Up Out My Face (The reprise): A little marching band action. I kind of love it.

More Than Just Friends: This song is cute but it’s kind of boring. That’s all I really have to say.

The Impossible: I was bored. It’s cute again. Maybe love songs aren’t for me today. She sounds really good at the end. What’s new?

The Impossible (The reprise): I am hearing some old timey guitar sounds. Like I’m in a castle. Am I dumb? This is kind of a vibe. Everything I didn’t like about the first song isn’t in this one. It’s really pretty and chill.

Angel (The prelude): THIS WAS SO PRETTY.

Angels Cry: This song is so sad. I love when she says “lightning don’t strike the same place twice.” Her mind is so powerful. Her voice is extra angelic in this song. I love it.

Languishing (The Interlude): This is kind of deep. So pretty. Mariah is in her feelings. The piano in this song is so pretty.

I Want To Know What Love Is: Only queens close their album with a Foreigner cover. She’s actually kind of perfect for this song. She really killed it.

It turns out I’m a pretty big Mariah Carey fan. I truly believe she probably has the best voice ever. It’s just so pretty. I freak out every time. She really made every song worth it by going crazy on it at the end. Every time man. This album gets a 6.26/10. I appreciate her so much. bye
