Covers by Cat Power Review

These are all covers by some lady I don’t really know.

Bad Religion: Frank Ocean! She is pronouncing some words weird. It’s distracting me. Maybe I’m just crazy.

Unhate: This is actually a Cat Power original. These lyrics are pretty dark. She really wants to die. But this song sounds really cool.

Pa Pa Power: Song by Dead Man’s Bones. I think this song sounds pretty cool. I like the guitar. She sounds nice, too.

White Mustang: This is a Lana song and I don’t like what she did with it. She just didn’t do it any justice. Whatever.

A Pair of Brown Eyes: The Pogues. Sounds familiar. This song did not sound good.

Against the Wind: Bob Seger. I think I might be sensitive right now but this is making me lose my mind. Like feeling unleashed.

Endless Sea: Iggy Pop. I’ve totally heard of him. Sometimes I mix him up with Imogen Heap but I think that’s just me having a hard time. This was a little strange.

These Days: This is by Nico originally. But she covered this song because of The Royal Tenenbaums. I love Gwyneth Paltrow so I think Cat may be onto something. This song is very pretty.

It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels: This is a Kitty Wells song. I don’t know what that means. She sounds like Fiona Apple, though. I like this song, though. It’s tropical or something.

I Had a Dream Joe: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. This sounds pretty cool. Makes me think of “we did it Joe.” And that makes me giggle a little bit.

Here Comes a Regular: Song by The Replacements. I’ve totally heard of them. I really like this song actually. It’s really beautiful.

I’ll Be Seeing You: Billie Holiday. I feel like she is old. This was really pretty tbh.
