Newest 5sos album as of now. I am nervous going into it because Youngblood was it for me. I don’t want to be disappointed.
Red Desert: I vibed. I liked it. I think it’s a good song. I don’t think I understand it completely, but that’s because I’m a little bit stupid. I am very satisfied with the song. I think anything Luke Hemmings sings is angelic. That said, I hope this isn’t the best song because that would mean the album is bad.
No Shame: I think this song will definitely grow on me. I like the concept. It’s commenting on society. How we view celebrities and what they go through these days. I appreciate that it isn’t pointing any fingers, though. I think that’s pretty cool. I’m not in love with the tune of the chorus. I wish the melodies were better lol. Only on some parts though. The rest of it is pretty dope.
Old Me: This could totally be a Justin Bieber song. I don’t think that’s an insult. I don’t think I would like this song a lot if it was by Justin Bieber. I think that although the lyrics are personal, they’re not the most complex. I wouldn’t usually like a song that uses the phrase “shout out” so much (@ Little Mix). I do like the chorus, though. And I think the song is good, overall. I just want them to try harder. And lay off the autotune.
Easier: Bro I am so not surprised that Charlie fucking Puth wrote this song. It’s not a surprise at all. It has Puth vibes pouring out of it. I think he would be better fit singing it because he has that naturally high voice that Luke just doesn’t have. That would save us from hearing all this autotune. I’m not vibing with it. I think the song is fine. I don’t hate it at all. It’s just not my favorite.
Teeth: Okay this song slaps. I think it’s really good, man. Not much more to say than that. I know it was on the radio, but I never listened to it because I was going through a phase. I respect it now.
Wildflower: Dude this song is good too! I’m happy about it. The intro had me nervous, I won’t lie. But man, it turned out so fucking good.
Best Years: This song is pretty romantic. I’m liking it. Might fuck around and add it too my romantic fantasy playlist. Luke’s voice is especially angelic in this song, just warning you.
Not in the Same Way: This song grew on me. It’s fun. I like the story. Makes me a little sad because honestly I just want to date Luke Hemmings and it’s seeming a little impossible.
Lover of Mine: This song was cute. The lyrics were very sweet. Overall, I thought it was a little boring. Not a bad song, though.
Thin White Lies: I really like this song. I won’t lie, I thought the title was Thin White Lines for longer than I’d like to admit, and I was so worried they were doing cocaine. They’ve probably done cocaine, honestly. This song is really good. I like when they yell “thin white lies.”
Lonely Heart: This song was average until they came in with that chorus. Holy shit. Good job. I like it a lot now.
High: This song was so cute, oh my gosh. It was so pretty, too. I loved it so much. It was simple, but it still said so much. I think it was a great way to end the album. It made me so sad, because as I mentioned earlier, I would like to date Luke Hemmings but I don’t think I will. It’s okay, though.
Final Ranking:
Red Desert
High
Wildflower
No Shame
Old Me
Teeth
Lover of Mine
Thin White Lies
Lonely Heart
Not In The Same Way
Best Years

Overall this was a pretty decent album. I ended up liking a lot of the songs even though they changed their sound up a little bit. I don’t think it’s as good as Youngblood, but that’s okay. It gets a 7.38/10. bye
